
GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engines deliver fuel at high pressure directly into the combustion chamber rather than mixing it with air in the intake port. This precise, cylinder-by-cylinder metering helps improve fuel efficiency and throttle response by optimizing the air-fuel mixture for different driving conditions, such as light cruising, rapid acceleration, or cold starts.
